The textured black Messina Sensor (SKU 1183032), part of the Messina range from Astro Lighting, is a single wall light with a solid black surrounding exterior case that envelops frosted glass panels and an inbuilt PIR sensor. The Messina takes 1 x 12W Max LED E27/ES (not included).

This wall fitting is IP44 rated, meaning it is suitable for exterior lighting, so you can safely place it in exterior areas to create some outdoor ambience. 

The hidden PIR (infrared) is well concealed and makes the Astro Messina Sensor possibly one of the trendiest-looking security lights on the market. With this model you are truly combining style with substance: an attention-grabbing vintage light fitting that detects the movement of people and comes on by itself, then turns itself off when not needed.

The detection range sensitivity for this fitting is adjustable from 1 to 10 metres, and the light can be set to stay ON for a period between 6s to 12mins (this can be set up).

This fitting is to be installed at max. 2m height from the floor/ground. 

The Detection range setting (sensitivity) is adjustable from approximately 1 to 7 metres (front) and 3 to 9 metres (sides). Turn fully anti-clockwise for minimum detection range and fully clockwise for maximum detection range.

Note: the above detection is based upon an average size and build person moving at a speed of 1.0-1.5m/sec.

Time setting: The light can be set to stay ON for any period between 6 seconds to 12 minutes. Turn fully anti-clockwise for minimum time (approx. 6sec), and fully clockwise for maximum time (approx. 12min).

Note: any movement detected before this time elapses will restart the timer.

Light-control setting: The light response threshold can be adjusted from 2-2000 lux. Turn fully anti-clockwise for dusk to dawn operation (approx. 2 lux), and fully clockwise to select daylight operation (approx. 2000 lux).

Note: the knob must be fully turned clockwise when adjusting the Detection range in daylight
