The D-Fixings screws are fire-rated screws with a 40mm long shaft and close threads which combine to provide exceptional performance.
These D-Line D-Fixings screws are ideal for securing D-Line fire-rated Safe-D ranges and other electrical installation equipment in popular substrates - including masonry, plasterboard / breeze-block, concrete, brickwork and wood.
The D-Fixings have been extensively tested, and are certified to hold Safe-D clips and cable loads up to 970°C for 2 hours, after withstanding stress vibrations and water sprays also.
In fire tests the D-Fixing screw threads remain securely embedded with no need for anchors or plastic wall plugs (which typically melt at 160°C).
D-Fixing Fire Rated Screws - Features
- Dimensions: 40mm Length x 5.1mm Thread Width x 8.3mm Head Width
- Note: a 4mm pilot hole required
- It is certified for 2 hours at 970°C
- It is fully safety tested and certified to BS5839 part 1 compliant
- High melting point: >1200ºc melting point
- It has a non-corrosive finish
- There's no need for plastic wall plugs
- It has excellent tensile strength, shear strength and pull-out load performance
