A mains-powered RadioLINK 5A relay module that provides wireless interconnectivity with Aico RadioLINK-enabled fire alarm devices. When it recieves a warning signal in the event of a fire condition, the relay will activate all RadioLINK-enabled devices in a domestic fire alarm system within a 150m range.
Please note: this item is non-returnable; due to the nature of this item, it has an electronic component and sensor, and we cannot take this item back for a refund as "unwanted".
The Ei428 module is supplied with a lithium cell backup power source with a 10-year lifespan. In the event of mains failure, it will power the unit for up to 2 months. The unit has an integral low power warning as the battery lifespan runs out.
RadioLINK systems are fully compliant with the standards set in BS 5839: Pt. 6, 2004. The Ei168RC RadioLINK base unit is compatible with all Aico Ei160 or Ei140-series smoke/heat alarms, and the unique Easi-fit design makes it easy to install an Aico fire alarm almost anywhere in your home.
The Ei428 is a RadioLINK Relay Module that runs on 230V AC mains power. The rechargeable Lithium cells are designed to have a ten year life and outlast the life of the relay. They will provide up to 2 months operation in the event of a mains failure.
The RadioLINK interconnectivity enables wireless transmission from all RadioLINK alarms in the system, and the module can then activate many devices including social alarm modules and warden call systems.
The module uses advanced transceiver and signal coding technology to ensure a robust and reliable RadioLINK signal. It also has a “House Code” feature that allows a system of RadioLINK units to be coded together to prevent interference with neighboring systems.
It is designed to be remotely sited at any convenient point and is supplied complete with its own cover. Volt free contacts (Normally Open and Normally Closed) as standard but can be wired to give a 230V output or 24V output using an external 24V supply.
